Our story so far

Come celebrate with us, It's our 21st Birthday this year!

aileen stewart photography started out in 1990 and has grown from an initial small venture to an established family run business. With drive, determination and an unending passion to change the face of photography from the static impersonalized portraits and weddings of the past, Aileen and I had overseen the building of a purpose built studio complex. Our studio constantly played host to a wide range of fun, from wind surf kites, to canoes, full sized trampolines, shoe wardrobes, (we challenged our customers to surprise us!), drum kits, day old babies, wedding parties, bubbles, space hoppers, thunderbirds, toy collections, flowers, even a grand total of 33 members of one family, (think this was our maximum! we squeezed the last wee ones in) who were able to be photographed together.

We pioneered the white background and spontaneous portraits, we invented the `storybook' wedding albums and the Shadow Gap frame range. This year, it's time to move on into a new era. This year, it's just Aileen and I.

Knowing the high standards our customers set and always understanding that we have to aim high to provide a service worthy of our reputation, we have taken all the boundaries away. After years of being locked in the studio we are now taking our photography out to our customers.

Take us to where is special to you, be it your home, beach, forest or track. We love to capture your precious moments in time, photographing your family doing what you do best, having fun, personal time together. Quite simply, whatever makes your family special, unique and together is important to us. This will reflect in the one off, bespoke, finished portraits, and weddings too, which are personal only to your family. Designed for you and by you, for you to enjoy proudly in your home.
